About the Department

Neurosurgery, defined as “neurosurgery” in medical language, provides comprehensive services for the diagnosis, treatment and care of all conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nervous system. The Neurosurgery unit is the department of our hospital where different types of medical interventions are performed, ranging from minimally invasive procedures to intracranial surgical procedures such as tumor operations.

Brain and Neurosurgery focuses on the treatment of problems directly related to the brain and spinal cord tissue, as well as problems that may damage these tissues through external compression or neighborhood, congenital deformities and damage caused by trauma.

Medical professionals working in the Department of Neurosurgery request examination, imaging, neurophysiological evaluation and laboratory examinations after the patient applies to the health center. Following this, clinical and radiological follow-up is performed to identify the problem and the most appropriate treatment for the patient is designed with a multidisciplinary team.

If the treatment requires surgery, the operation is performed with appropriate technical support and the most up-to-date medical equipment. After the surgery, the patient continues to be monitored through intensive care or ward follow-up appropriate to the patient’s condition.

In addition to adult neurosurgery services, pediatric neurosurgery and treatments for children and young adults are also performed in the Neurosurgery Unit.

The unit, which consists of medical professionals qualified in the field of neurosurgery, provides diagnosis, treatment and observation services 24/7.
