What is Check-Up?
Check-up is a comprehensive health screening to evaluate the general health status of the person. It allows early diagnosis of possible diseases before symptoms appear.
Purposes
- To see the general state of health of the body
- Catching diseases at an early stage
- Identify risk factors (e.g., heart, diabetes, cancer)
- Providing lifestyle health advice
Content
The check-up program may vary according to the person, age, gender and risk factors. It usually includes the following tests:
- Blood tests: Sugar, cholesterol, liver and kidney function
- Urine tests
- Imaging: Chest X-ray, ultrasound, etc.
- Heart evaluation: ECG, stress test
- Physical examination and doctor’s interview
Who should have it done?
- Individuals over the age of 30 at least 1 time per year
- Those with a family history of chronic diseases are more regular.
- It is recommended that people with risk factors such as intense stress, smoking, alcohol, and obesity have it done at regular intervals.
