The Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases, also referred to as “otorhinolaryngology” in the medical literature, is a unit of our hospital responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of disorders associated with the neck and head, including the ear, nose and throat regions.

Ear – nose – throat physicians, who are qualified to treat people from many age groups from newborn babies to the elderly, are specialized in the field with various postgraduate trainings after standard medical faculty education. Esencan Hospital physicians, who are employed in the relevant unit, are experts who have performed numerous applications in the field of hearing, balance, smell & taste disorders and shortness of breath, migraine, sinusitis, pharyngitis, vertigo swallowing problems, head and neck tumors.

As it is known, ear, nose and throat specialists depend on a multidisciplinary group of specialists to provide complete and comprehensive patient care, as they have to deal with many clinical problems such as many types of cancer, upper respiratory tract complaints, hearing, smell and taste loss. In accordance with this principle, the department of ear, nose and throat diseases at Esencan Hospital has adopted an interdisciplinary study & research approach. Accordingly, when a patient is admitted to the hospital for a hearing-related problem, in addition to ENT specialists, specialist audiometrists working in our hospital’s audiology unit are also consulted. The same applies to many ear, nose and throat related problems.

In addition, as it is known, some aesthetic operations can be part of the procedures performed in the ear – nose – throat department. In the ear, nose and throat diseases unit of Esencan Hospital, otoplasty (ear surgery), rhinoplasty (nose surgery), blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) and facial reconstruction procedures are performed with the latest equipment and techniques.

Pediatric treatment methods are frequently used; in case the patient applies to the unit where personal treatments are applied for patients of all age groups, the source of the problem is investigated with various state-of-the-art imaging methods (endovision system, etc.); endoscopic and microscopic examination methods are used to diagnose the problem in a way that leaves no room for error.
