In this unit, pathological problems concerning the subspecialty areas of pediatric surgery are investigated and treated using preoperative, operative, and postoperative methods. <\/p>\n\n<p>Problems such as undescended testis, hernia, hydrocele, and varicocele that occur especially in the first years of life, as well as birth defects seen in newborns and infants that require highly sensitive applications, are treated by the pediatric surgery unit using state-of-the-art procedures including minimal invasive surgical techniques and modern endoscopy.<\/p>\n\n<p>Pediatric surgeons working in the pediatric surgery unit treat children who sometimes cannot respond to medical questions or are unable to express their discomfort, approaching them patiently in light of the education they have received over the years. The entire process, including examination, treatment, and observation, is completed with medical equipment specially designed for children and methods used in the field of pediatric surgery. <\/p>\n\n<p>However, since children are not small adults, it is essential that all stages of treatment be designed in a way that makes them feel comfortable and is psychologically supportive. For this reason, pediatric surgery focuses not only on physical healing but also on not disrupting the child&#8217;s psychological development.
