Radiology

It is a branch of medicine that provides diagnosis and treatment services by using different forms of energy such as x-rays, sound or radio waves. In recent years, it can be said that it is the science that has made the fastest progress with the dizzying developments in technology. Since the discovery of X-ray, various devices have been developed and digital systems have been used increasingly in radiology departments.

In the Radiology department of Esencan Hospital, radiological imaging devices with high technological features are available, all diagnostic procedures and many interventional radiological procedures are performed. Doctor staff of the radiology department; He has the knowledge and experience to perform diagnostic procedures and many interventional procedures with digital x-ray, ultrasonography, Doppler ultrasonography, digital mammography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging devices.

Mini-PACS (Digital Archiving and Communication System) is available in the radiology department. With this system, all radiological examinations are archived digitally and sent to the workstations in the film reading rooms, where they can be evaluated by the doctors in other clinics via monitors without the need for film printing.

Hip Ultrasonography Hip dislocation is the mobility of the hip joint in the newborn due to the abnormal formation of the hip joint during the early development period of the fetus. This mobility in the hip joint may become more pronounced in advancing ages and may cause permanent dislocation of the hip joint. Congenital hip dislocation may not have any symptoms. Therefore, screening with routine hip ultrasonography is recommended. Hip ultrasonography is a diagnostic method that can be applied in a short time and easily, without the use of X-rays, which provides superior diagnosis to the physician, especially in the first 6 months, in the screening and diagnosis of congenital hip dislocation. The reliability of this diagnostic method, which has become increasingly widespread in our country in recent years, has been proven by scientific studies and has been used in the neonatal period. It has been routinely used in screening for congenital hip dislocation between weeks and weeks.
