He is a founding member of the Disinfection, Antisepsis, and Sterilization Association (DAS), where he has served as a board member, secretary general, and president. He is the editor of the 1st DAS Guidelines published by the association. He has served as President, Secretary General, and Speaker at numerous conferences. He also served as the President of the 13th World Sterilization Congress. Under his leadership as the head of the "DAS School" certification programs (2008–2014), more than 2,000 physicians and nurses were awarded the "DAS Certificate" in collaboration with the T.C. Ministry of Health.

In addition to his academic responsibilities as a university faculty member, Dr. Günaydın has served as an editor and associate editor for numerous national and international journals. He also has a significant number of publications in local and international journals(*).

Dr. Günaydın founded and managed the Central Medical Microbiology Laboratory and the Central Sterilization Unit at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine. He also founded and managed the Central Medical Microbiology Laboratory at Istanbul University.
